Marathi Shala
The Marathi Shala for children in Sacramento was founded nearly 13 years ago by the Sawant family and has since been carried forward with dedication by a team of teachers and volunteers.
Thanks to the dedication and efforts of our incredible volunteers, we’re able to offer an outstanding Marathi learning experience for the next generation, in collaboration with the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal (BMM).
Our students not only learn the Marathi language but also develop a deep appreciation for its vibrant cultural heritage through exposure to Marathi literature — including poetry, stories, historical works, biographies, and essays.

Classes are held every Fridays evenings on hybrid schedule (in person and online alternate week).
Kids from the age group of 5 years are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity provided by MMSAC & BMM.
